The worst customer service

1 January I paid my payment bill, but for some reason it wasn't reflected at my account. Since 7 January when i knew about that i started attempts to reach to customer service and solve this issue. Eventually, I sent them proofs to email and they told me to wait 48 hours. When it passed i called again and they told me the same info. Till current day i keep calling then regular and they do nothing just keep telling me that it's ok. Almost 2 months passed and they just stole my money and don't try to cooperate.

I subscribed to PLDT last Jan 28, 2024, and they delivered the wrong brand and model of Wi-fi mesh. They showed TP-Link Deco M5 in their website, but they delivered a cheaper and lower class of mesh, Tenda MW6.

I called them on several occasions to have them replaced, at first they promised to look into it. It's been over a month now, still no action from them, When I made a follow up today, the customer service I talked to, said, the company will not honor or grant my request, they were adamant saying they did not promise any brand, but clearly you can see in their ads, (the reason I was enticed to buy from them), they showed TP-Link Deco M5. When I threatened to terminate my plan they threatened me with fines and penalties for breach of contract.

I find this unfair since a contract must be abided by 2 parties and PLDT was the first to breach the contract by not delivering the product that was on their site. To say, you will never find Tenda MW6 being offered.

When I applied for their PLDT plan with mesh, their ads of "giving" TP-Link Deco M5 as package was taken into consideration with my decision. But what they delivered is just a Tenda MW6 mesh which is much cheaper and little inferior.

When I requested they give what was due to me, they refused, the customer services personnel, they didn't specified what model so that won't give in to my request.

This very clear a breach of contract on their part, If I requested for refund, they refused, they said , it is a breach of contract and that I will pay fines. We all know, contract should apply to both party, but for giant company like PLDT, they won't honor us.

Breach of Contract from the beginning

I subscribed to PLDT based on their advertisement on website. I paid 2399 pesos in advance for a 400 mbps bandwidth and 3 pcs TP-Link Mesh (worth 9000 peso).

Upon checking the after installation, I only got 100 mbps, on top of that, I was shortchanged in the mesh they provided, they gave a cheaper brand (Tenda) worth 7500 peso but charged me 9000 peso on my subscription.

When I called their hotline, they send technician to check the line, and the technician told me, the whole PLDT facilities could not provide my desire bandwidth, since they have problematic system to start with. Now I am left with not much option but to downgrade my plan, the problem is aside from they will not approved it, since they have so called 36 months lock-in period, they have no more subscription plans for 100 MBPS, their minimum subscription plan is 1699 pesos for 200 MBPS bandwidth. Now they are starting billing me, yet they could not deliver services based on contract.

A contract should be both way, both protecting the consumers and the merchant, but the problem in our country The Philippines, the merchant always get away with malpractices , while we consumers suffer for their poor services and bad services. And to make matter worst, we are bounded by lock in period and will be penalized if we terminate the contract prematurely/
